Amanda Brugel

Pointe Claire, a quiet area situated in The West Island of Montreal is what you might call a "sleepy" area. The West Island can be confusing to those unfamiliar with its meaning. They often believe it is an island that lies west of Montreal, but it's actually the West Island encompasses everything between the cities that are Lachine as well as West. Amanda Brugel's hometown is often mentioned, but her brief visit to the West Island was not. Brugel developed on Courtice located just outside Oshawa in Ontario. The first goal she had was to become a dancer, but an increase in her height resulted in her outgrowing her dance partner. In a recent interview with the Toronto Star, she confessed that "In heels, I'm 6 feet and 1 inch." When I grew out of my male dancers, I decided to quit. Former dancers often turn into acting. In the instance of Brugel,, it was an urging by her teacher of drama. It was the teacher who recommended she go after a role in the annual school production. The teacher who suggested she take on a part in the school's annual production. The show was granted the Fine Arts Talent Scholarship to take part in York University's Theater Program and graduated in 2000 with a bachelor's degree in Fine Arts. Since then, she's appeared performing in over 60 plays, smaller and large. One of the most memorable was when she landed Rita's role in The Handmaid's Tale. Brugel was the sole Canadian on the Season 1 The Handmaid's Tale cast and only seen occasionally was the sole Canadian.
